Sciatic Nerve Pain
The sciatic nerve is approximately the same diameter as your thumb. When the largest nerve in the body is damaged or irritated, the pain and symptoms associated can be both excruciating and debilitating. Herniated or bulging discs are the most common causes of chronic and recurrent sciatic neuralgia. Pain, tingling, or numbness can occur in the buttocks, back of the leg, foot, and/or toes.
